  1. General


MASONITE BEAMS AB, corporate identity number 556282-8060, wishes to demonstrate with this privacy policy how we ensure that your personal data is processed in accordance with Swedish personal data legislation. 
You should always be able to feel secure when you submit your personal data to us. MASONITE BEAMS has therefore taken the technical and organisational security measures necessary to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, use, alteration and deletion.


  1. Data Controller


MASONITE BEAMS is the controller of the processing of your personal data by, or on behalf of, MASONITE BEAMS. For information on how to contact us, see section 7.


  1. What personal data do we process about you and why?


MASONITE BEAMS collects personal data about you when you:

  • Sign up for any MASONITE BEAMS newsletter.
    Legal basis: Legitimate interest
    Categories of personal data: Personal name, telephone number, e-mail address, address
    Retention time: If you have given your consent to receiving information and marketing material, we will store your information in the categories for as long as you wish to continue receiving information and marketing material.
  • When you participate in development projects and production development projects relating to our products. 
    Legal basis: Performance of agreement
    Categories of personal data: Personal name, telephone number, e-mail address, address
    Retention time: Up to 50 years
  • When you ask technical questions to our technology or engineering department.
    Legal basis: Swedish Construction Standards, CE-marking requirements
    Categories of personal data: Personal name, telephone number, e-mail address, address
    Retention time: We may store your data from the time you contacted us for a period of 50 years. We may store your data for longer if you wish us to keep it for future orders/requests and if you have consented to this.
  • Have contact with our market, sales department or support, by e-mail, by phone or on our website.
    Legal basis: Legitimate interest
    Categories of personal data: Personal name, position, telephone number, e-mail address, address
    Retention time: We will store your data from the time you contacted us and for a period of 24 months. We may store your data for longer if you wish us to keep it for future orders/requests and if you have consented to this. If the case involves technical advice, data can be saved for up to 50 years.
  • When you make a request about our products. 
    Legal basis: Performance of agreement
    Categories of personal data: Personal name, telephone number, e-mail address, company name, address
    Retention time: We will store your data from the time you contacted us and for a period of 24 months. We may store your data for longer if you wish us to keep it for future orders/requests and if you have consented to this.
  • When you sign an agreement with us regarding the delivery of products.
    Legal basis: Performance of agreement
    Categories of personal data: Personal name, telephone number, e-mail address, address
    Retention time: We will store data as necessary under applicable law, such as accounting laws. 
  • When you are our supplier, or our supplier's contact person. In order to for us to place orders with you, or to get in touch with you if we have any questions, we need to process your contact details. It is in our legitimate interest to be able to get in touch with you to ensure access to the supplies and services we need to develop and maintain our business

    Categories of personal data: Personal name, telephone number, e-mail address, company address
    Retention time: Up to 10 years.

  1. How long is the data stored?


We store the data for as long as necessary for the purposes of the processing. We may save the data for longer if we are required to do so by law or to monitor our legal interests, for example if there is an ongoing legal process. Read more about how long we store your data above under each section in Chapter 3.


  1. Who do we disclose data to?


MASONITE BEAMS may disclose personal data to companies processing personal data on behalf of MASONITE BEAMS, such as IT providers and Group companies. If personal data is transferred to a country outside the EU/EEA, MASONITE BEAMS will ensure that such transfer takes place in a secure manner and in accordance with applicable law.

Personal data may also be disclosed if necessary to comply with applicable legal or regulatory requirements, to safeguard MASONITE BEAMS' legal interests, or to detect, prevent or alert of fraud and other security or technical issues.


  1. Changes to the Privacy Policy


This Privacy Statement may be amended from time to time. If MASONITE BEAMS makes any significant changes to the privacy policy, MASONITE BEAMS will inform you by e-mail before the changes take effect. The current privacy policy will also be published on MASONITE BEAMS' website.

 


  1. Right to request information, corrections, etc.

 

Complain to the supervisory authority if you believe that we are processing your data incorrectly or do not protect your rights. At the time of writing, the Swedish Data Protection Authority is the supervisory authority. You can find more information at www.datainspektionen.se

If you do not wish MASONITE BEAMS to process your personal data for direct marketing purposes, you can notify MASONITE BEAMS in writing. In each newsletter you will also be informed of your opportunity to refuse to receive further newsletters.

Once a calendar year, you have the right to receive information free of charge about which personal data MASONITE BEAMS processes about you and for what purpose (register extract). A register extract request must be made in writing and signed by the applicant. You also have the right to have inaccurate, misleading or incomplete data corrected, blocked, de-identified or deleted. Confidentiality Policy

Byggma ASA has a strong focus on the integrity and protection of personal data in everyday life. All internal and external persons who interact with us must feel confident that personal data is processed in a secure and correct manner. How we collect your personal data:
We collect personal data directly from you, from someone representing you or from other sources that you have identified or that follow naturally from the type of service we provide or offer you. Sometimes we need information directly from other public or private institutions.

We will only collect personal data when necessary in connection with the establishment and management of your contracts with us. We do this because we have obligations to you as a customer/partner and to be able to meet your wishes and needs.

In addition to agreed and statutory obligations, we may only use your personal data if we have obtained your consent. You must have given your consent voluntarily and you must have been informed of the purpose of using the data.

Camera surveillance on our premises is clearly marked and complies with the provisions of the Camera Surveillance Act.

The data is stored so that we can manage your customer relationship to us. The data enables us to fulfil our obligations in the customer relationship.

  • Customer administration, invoicing and delivery of goods and services
  • Supplier administration, receiving goods
  • Marketing and customer follow-up
  • Health, environment and safety

 

Who we share data with
We will share necessary data with our employees so that they can register you in the necessary portals/systems. To the extent required by law or legal decision or necessary for the audit or investigation of any violation to our business, relevant information may be disclosed to public authorities or any other entitled parties. 


How long the data is stored
We only retain personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil our obligations or certain statutory requirements. This means that the retention period for different categories of data may vary. We delete or anonymise the categories of your personal data when the data is no longer needed.


How we protect the data
We work systematically to protect information security and take both technical and organisational security measures to protect the stored personal data from unauthorised access and use. Where we share personal data with third parties, we set the same requirements for information security on them.


Information and changes regarding stored data
You can contact us if you have any questions or want to see which data we store about you. If you discover errors or if there are changes to the information (e.g. if you have a new address, telephone number or e-mail address), we would be grateful if you would contact us as soon as possible so that we can update the information. We are obliged to provide you with information about the registered data we hold about you within 30 days.
